May 13 -- The Anson County Partnership for Children's annual "Week of the Young Child" PARADE will be held at 10 a.m. at South Piedmont Community College's Lockhart-Taylor Center, 514 N. This year's theme is "Barnyard Friends," and children ages birth through kindergarten, parents and childcare providers are encouraged to participate and decorate their own float (no gas-powered vehicles will be allowed).
